Welcome to my amateur radio page! I'm Bobby Warren, a licensed ham operator with the call sign W5MYR, based in Jersey Village, Texas.

Station Setup

My primary base station is an Icom IC-7300 paired with a 71-foot horizontal random wire antenna strung between two oak trees at about 30 feet.

  • Mode: mostly SSB, sometimes FT8
  • Logging: LoTW, QRZ
  • QTH: EL29fv

Portable / POTA

For portable operations like Parks on the Air (POTA), I use an Icom IC-705 with a 17-foot whip and a Wolf River Coils Silver Bullet Platinum loading coil.
